Fischer’s Opening Secret 2
Here’s the secret of the most successful repertoire player of all time, Bobby Fischer:
Remember back to that world championship match between Fischer and Spassky, where Fischer for the first time ever allowed a queen pawn opening by transposition from 1.c4.
He said he wanted to “give them something to think about.”
The secret is obvious – he knew how to play the queen pawn openings too!
Most players assume that to become an expert at a certain opening you must spend all your time and energy studying that opening. Wrong.
You should keep to a single ECO code. Wrong!
To save time, stick to one opening repertoire. WRONG!
