Re: Free ebook
What you are seeing is the backsovled symbol. That symbol is calculated by the optimum lines for both sides, based on the assessments of the final position in each line. It cannot edited. Here is a video that goes into the process of Backsolving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYt_YinfXpA Have you...

Re: Free ebook

There is not currently a free version of COW 2016. Perhaps I should make a free app to do just that. Creating a free ebook would be quite ...

Re: Is Stockfish 10 64 bit an optimist?
I was analyzing in COW Professional, build 92, with the latest version of SF. In particular, I was looking at the MacCutcheon French with 5Ne2. It may not be the best move, but looks to provide more fluid play than other moves. I followed SF's suggestions for a few moves. When it is white to move, ...

Re: Blunder Checking
I would like to suggest an EDP analysis option - similar to Backsolving - but as a separate stand-alone tool for aiding opening analysis. After importing PGN games, I'd like an option to blunder check each variation. A threshold setting would be set by the user, whereby when a position is reached i...

Re: Feature Request To Help Understand Moves
When preparing/inputting your openings when you use COW do you personally look at why you can't play move X?. Yes Aren't you also supposed to remember/train why you can't play move x? How are you supposed to enter that into COW with comments? Just enter it as an alternative move, add a question mar...
