Hi,
where do I have to save an imported ebook on Android for COW to find it? I can't find a folder where the included books are and I don't see any way in COW to choose a folder? Thanks
Regards
Kai

"where do I have to save an imported ebook on Android for COW to find it?"
Hi,
I'm a fellow COW user. I'll proceed from memory on some of my reply, while some of this I can easily verify. It should provide a general outline.
I will assume that you mean a COW ebook that you currently have on your laptop. First you have to set-up drop-box to connect your PC and tablet. Perhaps you have done that already. From your PC, copy your COW ebook to drop box. Go to your tablet. Open COW on your tablet. It will prompt you to open a file. Open any file. (Doing this, I note that the Sample Opening Giuie is a very nice product.). Open any file, just to get started. Under the chess board, you find move controls. To the right of the move controls, you will find an ellipsis "..." Click on that to bring up various menu items. Select Dropbox. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a button that says "Connect." Click that to connect your tablet to DropBox. Ebooks on your tablet will be on the left. Ebooks available through Dropbox will be on your right. Select the ebook you want from the right-side of the screen. I get uploads and downloads confused. Pick the command that makes the most sense to you and see what happens. Good luck.
If anyone sees omitted steps, feel free to comment.

That command is no longer available on my tablet. I tried "Cloud Storage" but no file are listed under Dropbox.

I wonder if Bluetooth could provide a simpler solution.

In my dropbox settings (on PC) I read that DropBox Plus allows one to "Access files from across all your devices." Furthermore I read that this feature is not offerred with DropBox Basic. In the past, I could swap files between tablet and PC.
I have DropBox Basic. Has this feature (accessing files from across all your devices) been dropped from DropBox Basic? If so, I was never told. Is this the reason why my PC and tablet no longer talk to one another via DropBox? It seems that I've wasted a lot of time trying to link the unlinkable.
DropBox Plus costs about $10 a month. Would that even work to swap files from PC to Tablet?

The latest mobile versions uses free Dropbox accounts and free Google Drive accounts.
I do not recommend using any paid Dropbox account. The reason is Dropbox's security protocols require that files be placed in the Chess Openings Wizard folder by the app itself. Dropbox may ignore what you do if you try to move a file there using Dropbox itself.

The way i work with the app and the desktop is as follows :
create a book on the app, for example ^app-book* and insert at least 1 move in it.
Then go to cloud-storage to upload *app-book*.
Next adjust with youre desktop COW-program *app-book* and after done with that download it again to youre phone.
The updates you made with the desktop should then be in the book on youre phone.

To import an eBook, you can usually just drag and drop it into your eReader app or software. If you're using something like Kindle
Sprunki Retake itβs pretty easy via email or their app too!
