Hi all,
I used this program when it was Bookup and now I bought the express version.
So far I like the rewrite, I believe the old version was written in some older or non-OOP language, as the program seems cleaner and faster. For one thing it allows for faster piece movement (still a bit slow, I have it set to 'fastest' and it's just acceptable on a fast PC). Also the slider bar for faster piece movement seems to reset back to the default and has to be readjusted. Not a big deal just annoying. This might go away once I reboot my PC, as I'm using it for the first time.
I do notice a bug however, maybe it will go away once I reboot, in that the "Create new Book Open New Book" dialog box remains open in the background, and reducing it reduces the entire program, including the tree, while closing it will terminate the entire program. Not a big deal just annoying a bit. Child/Parent windows can be a challenge when programming.
The version I have is Build 126, from it looks like maybe 2016 or 2017. Maybe the author will provide updates to eliminate these bugs but it's not a deal breaker so far.
My question is: what is the "certainty" button for? (a quick Search was made but: "The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: certainty.")
Also I think the program has a nice feature in that if you click on the red button while in a line, Stockfish or Crafty will automatically add this line in the program? From first glance, that is what I believe is happening, without experimenting further.
I also notice the old ECO free books are available, which is nice, since I usually don't purchase individual opening books but just add to the ECO Master free book or make my one.
All in all a pretty good program still, after all these years.

Just to clarify I'm using the Windows desktop version and by clicking on the red button in the lower window next to the engine, while the engine is running, automatically adds the best line as evaluated by Stockfish or Craft to the existing book tree, which is a nice feature to avoid having to manually enter the line, which is tedious. Nicely done.

Welcome on-board from a longtime BookUp/Chess Opening Wizard user.
"The "Create new Book Open New Book" dialog box remains open in the background." True. I always resize it and put it behind the window/file that I am using. It would be nice if one could set window size preferences, to include that particular dialog box.
If you want to open a second window/file, you have a choice of opening it from the currently open file, or returning to the dialog box. I always use the open dialog box as I think it works better.
